Yokogawa Field Instrumentation ServicesInstallation, Commissioning, and Startup Service

The installation, commissioning, and start-up of devices is done using a systematic approach. The technician will confirm the correct installation, mounting, and cabling of the installed instrument, power the device up, then configure the device based on required application parameters so performance is optimized. A detailed report is provided as documentation for future reference.

Yokogawa commissioning is completed by highly trained technicians using the latest tools available for each product.

Lifecycle Agreements

Our customers face many challenges. To alleviate them, Yokogawa provides agreements designed to support facilities in achieving long-term, stable, and secure operations.

Yokogawa's Lifecycle Agreement services will provide reliable on-site and remote support to minimize unscheduled downtime. This commitment to maximize product performance and reliability by utilizing lifecycle planning and preventive maintenance leads to the reduction of maintenance costs.

Spare Parts

Yokogawa's instrumentation service team is ready to respond quickly to the need for a supply of spare parts and consumables. Customers with Life Cycle Agreement are guaranteed expedited availability of spare parts and consumables.

Periodic Maintenance Agreements

The level of support and services from Yokogawa are determined with co-innovation in mind in order to solve unique challenges efficiently. Maintenance contracts can be customized with many options:

On-Demand Troubleshooting

An experienced field service technician team is ready to assist in troubleshooting and repair of Yokogawa products:

  • Planned or emergency on-site troubleshooting and repair assistance
  • Technician is dispatched promptly to the plant or facility
  • Expedited service is available when requested to reduce or eliminate downtime and unplanned outages

Calibration Services

The performance of the measuring device and its ability to operate correctly and repeatedly within the process environment are critical and directly linked to the quality and productivity of the plant or facility in which it is installed. For this reason, it is imperative that periodic checks, proving, or calibration be performed on the equipment.

Yokogawa has the ability to perform these checks or services to keep the instruments working within their published specifications. This service can be done either on-site or in our calibration facility in Georgia.

Wireless Site Surveys and Wireless Start-ups

Yokogawa qualified service personnel have the training and tools to provide onsite wireless surveys to find the best placement for the wireless devices. Optimizing performance of the wireless technologies is of the upmost importance to ensuring successful installation and operation.

Yokogawa qualified service personnel can also provide on-site guidance during the planning stages for ISA100, WI-FI, and other wireless technologies.

Facility Site Surveys

In order to ensure the right type and level of service agreement is offered, Yokogawa Service can come to the customer site, perform a site survey, and meet with the stakeholders for a comprehensive view of the customer needs and expectations.

This helps facilitate the process for customers and utilize Yokogawa expertise to make recommendations on maintenance activities based on the criticality of the monitored assets. The main goal is to  improve the overall performance and reliability of the customer assets.

Validation Services (IQ/OQ)

Yokogawa validation services are provided by factory trained validation specialists on select Yokogawa products to pharmaceutical, bio-tech, and food & beverage customers in order to meet 21CFR Part 11 requirements:

  • Recorder/data acquisition products include the· DX1000, DX2000, GX10, GX20, GP10, GP20 and the GM10
  • Factory Installation/Operational Qualification Execution (IQ/OQ)

Yokogawa Standard IQ/OQ Protocol

Yokogawa offers a factory generic off-the-shelf IQ/OQ protocol, to help speed up the process of validating a newly installed recorder/data unit:

  • 438230 DX ADVANCED DXA Validation Protocol
  • 773230 SmartDAC+ GX, GP, and GM Validation Protocol

Custom IQ/OQ Protocol Generation

Yokogawa can write and execute custom IQ/OQ protocol documentation to meet the needs of the customer's process.

Training

Facilities can be self-sufficient in the operation/maintenance of their instrumentation. By providing customer-specific training programs and bringing them to the site, we can provide training on the instrumentation devices within the facility. Yokogawa also provides training at several state-of-the-art facilities. They are equipped with the latest audio and video technology, instrumentation, and test equipment with process simulations that duplicate real scenarios and environments as much as physically possible.
