Our complete product line supports every type of control application. Models with Active Color PV display and Ethernet connectivity are now available.

  • Single loop controllers receive temperature, flow rate, pressure, and other types of measurement readings from sensors and send corresponding instructions to control elements such as valves in order to maintain these values within a desired range.

  • UTAdvanced temperature controllers and digital indicating controllers employ an easy-to-read, 14-segment large color LCD display, along with navigation keys, thus greatly increasing the monitoring and operating capabilities.

  • The UP35A/UP55A, 1/4 DIN sized program controllers, provides up to 30 program patterns, and simultaneous monitoring of 8 PV events, 16 time events, and 8 alarms.

  • The UM33A provides up to 9 alarms outputs and input correction function (PV bias, Polygonal line approximation, polygonal line bias). Also, 24 VDC sensor power supply is available as an option.

  • 1/16 DIN and 1/4 DIN sized Limit Controllers are FM approved, and configurable either as High or Low limit controller, and universal input, timer for exceeded duration.

  • The software packages enable to set controllers configuration parameters or create custom computation programs via the optical communications adapter attached on controller front panel.

  • The SMART 920 allows you to collect data from your entire site without the high cost of wiring points to remote or unpowered locations.

Depending on the properties that are desired from the end product will determine the material used and the method of firing the work.

I purchased a YS1500/YS1700 without communications and now realize I need serial and/or Ethernet capabilities.  Is this possible?

It is not possible to add the Ethernet (/A34) option to the YS1500/YS1700 controllers.  However it is possible to add RS-485 (/A31) or DCS-LCS (/A32) communications.  The controller has to be returned to Yokogawa for this retrofit. Use the Advance function.  After you start the program, hold down the SET/ENT key for a few seconds. Hold will appear on the display. Release the Set Enter and then press it again 1 time. You will see ADV (the V looks like an upside down A). Press the up arrow to change OFF to ON and press SET/ENT; that will advance your program 1 segment. You may have to do this multiple times to get to the segment you want.

The ethernet-serial gateway function allows a controller equipped with an Ethernet interface to communicate with other controllers via their RS-485 serial communication interface. The Ethernet-equipped gateway controller connects to a host computer using Modbus TCP protocol, and it also allows the host computer to access each of the connected serial devices via the gateway Ethernet functions. UT75A UT55A UT35A UP55A and UP35A models support this function.

The software can be downloaded from this link on the Yokogawa website.  The software is free of charge.   If your controller has the /A34 option, then you can do configuration over Ethernet.  If your controller does not have the /A34 Ethernet option, you will need to purchase a programming cable that is USB to an RJ11 connector which plugs into the front of the controller (behind lift up face plate).
