Tropicalization
Protection of Electric Equipment from the surrounding atmospheric conditions such as humidity, heat, cold, fungal attack, salt spray is known as the tropicalization of Electric Equipment.
Yokogawa provides tropicalization on the EJA-E and EJX-A series pressure transmitters and YTA series temperature transmitters as a standard feature.
The EJA-E, EJX-A, and YTA electronics are sprayed with a conformal coating after components are attached and soldered to the circuit board. The conformal coating is a Dow Corning product, identified as 1-2577 Conformal Coating. The coating is specially designed for this type of application.
In addition to the conformal coating, the EJA-E, EJX-A, and YTA housings are NEMA 4X and IP67 rated for resistance to weather and corrosion.
